Project Managers / Assistant Project Managers

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of translation, multilingual desktop publishing and/or software localization project management
  • Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software
  • Fluent in English. Fluency in at least one other language preferred
  • Bachelors degree with four or more years of experience in translation, localization or internationalization
  • Experience establishing project definitions, scheduling, working with in-house and contract resources, meeting deadlines and using translation tools (for example, Trados suite of tools, HTML tools, etc.)
  • Experience planning and monitoring projects to meet deadline, quality and budget requirements
  • Experience managing client relationships; serving as a primary day-to-day contact for external clients
  • Strong customer service, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • PMI or other certification preferred but not required

Documentation Authoring and Desktop Publishing Specialists

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Some combination of DTP application expertise required, including PageMaker, Quark, FrameMaker, InDesign, Illustrator, Freehand, Photoshop, and Corel Draw on Mac and PC platforms
  • Knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Fluent in English. Fluency in at least one other language preferred
  • Degree in Graphic Arts preferred
  • Three or more years of experience in multilingual desktop publishing (PC and Macintosh platforms)
  • Preference for Adobe expertise, especially FrameMaker and XML workflows

Localization Engineers (Software)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of software internationalization and localization concepts on various platforms including Windows, Unix, Linux, Macintosh, and AS/400
  • Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Translation Memory tools (i.e., Trados and SDLX)
  • Fluent in English. Fluency in at least one other language
  • Three or more years of experience in software development
  • C/C++, VB, .NET, XML or Java programming skills

Localization Engineers (Website)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Website internationalization and localization concepts
  • Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Translation Memory tools (i.e., Trados and SDLX)
  • Fluent in English. Fluency in at least one other language preferred
  • Three or more years of experience in Website development
  • HTML, ASP, XML, JavaScript, .NET, JSP, Cold Fusion, Databases (SQL, Access, and Oracle)

QA Engineers / Website and Software Testers

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of software and/or Web application globalization issues
  • Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software
  • Fluent in English. Fluency in at least one other language
  • Three or more years of experience in software and/or Web development and/or QA. (test development)

Web Design and Development Professionals

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Design and development skills using Macromedia Studio MX including Dreamweaver, Flash
  • Knowledge of language or languages other than English a definite plus
  • Familiarity with Internationalization (I18N) and Localization (L10N) concepts
  • Will work on client projects and the company's Web properties
  • Three or more years of experience in Web design or development
  • HTML, ASP, XML, ActionScript, .NET

Translators / Localization Specialists

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Four or more years experience in software localization and translation of user interfaces, online help, and documentation
  • The following language pairs are currently the most desired:
    • English-to-Japanese
    • English-to-Spanish
    • English-to-Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)
    • English-to-French
    • English-to-German
    • English-to-Italian
  • Translators must be native speakers of the target language
  • Experience using Trados Translator’s Workbench preferred
  • Localization Degree preferred
