Globalization Partners International (GPI), a provider of website, software and documentation globalization services announced today the launch of www.globalwidgets.com.
“Globalwidgets.com is a widget-based informational website for global business professionals who need access to a variety of information, ranging from news to weather to converters all in one place,” says Martin Spethman, Managing Partner with Globalization Partners International. “GPI initially designed and developed www.globalwidgets.com as an internal project management tool to help schedule global conference calls, track global events and holidays, and make common conversions.”
“We wanted something web-based as opposed to OS-based, so it could be accessed from any where, at any time,” says Mariano Drzazga, GPI’s Global IT Manager. “The recent widget phenomenon has shown that users are embracing the use of widgets in order to place specific information they need daily at their fingertips. Globalwidgets is entirely web-based and anyone with a browser and internet access can set up their own globalwidgets site.”
Globalwidgets.com is completely configurable allowing users to select and place a wide variety of widgets on their own website. Currently the site has launched with world news, converters, bookmarks, world time clocks, holidays calendar and weather. GPI will continue to add widgets based on user feedback.
